Stakeholders are essential elements in the process of improving our products and services as we meet Brazilian society’s demand for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
In its capacity as an aware and responsible corporate citizen, with a work force acquired during more than 60 years of experience in developing competencies and adapting ourselves to global conditions, Copagaz has achieved results well beyond our expectations in the economic, environmental and social fields.
At the center of these achievements are our stakeholders, essential elements in the process of improving our products and services as we meet Brazilian society’s demand for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
It is true that in 2016 we have faced quite a challenging political and economic scenario in Brazil, as well as an unfavorable business environment for all sectors of the economy. Even so, we have persisted in our efforts and adopted assertive measures to deal with the crisis, for we have on our side a team that is prepared to overcome great challenges.
Last year we received important recognition, such as appearing for the second straight year in the retail sector of the Guia Exame de Sustentabilidade. But of all the recognition accorded to us, the most important was the 1% increase in sales volume over 2015, despite all the difficulties facing the Brazilian economy in 2016. We know that this was only possible because of our dealership network, the consumer’s trust in our brand.
In 2003, we undertook the challenge of building a business model that favors innovative actions on behalf of the environment and society by adopting the United Nations Global Compact. Since then, it has been a source of pride for us to live up to the commitments we have assumed with the support of our stakeholders, in the various initiatives we have pursued to foster the positive changes necessary to make our company a sustainable one.
