On Christmas Day 1965 in Campo Grande, Zahran Group opened the first television broadcaster in Mato Grosso do Sul. When TV Morena, channel 6, went on the air it connected Mato Grosso to the world broadcasting news and events.

In 1967 the Group broadcast images from TV Centro América, channel 4, in Cuiabá, marking the beginning of Rede Matogrossense de Television (Mato Grosso Television Network) Composed of:

• TV Morena – Campo Grande – MS
• TV Morena – Ponta Porá – MS
• TV Morena Dourados – MS
• TV Morena Corumbá – MS
• TV Centro América – Cuiabá – MT
• TV Centro América Sul – Rondonópolis – MT
• TV Centro América Norte – Sinop – MT
• TV Centro América – Tangará da Serra – MT

Rede Matogrossense de Televisão, concerned with better informing, educating and entertaining its viewers, became an affiliate of Rede Globo de Televisão.

Currently, its programming includes regional variety, farming, sports and news programs.

In 1997, it began transmitting via satellite to almost 200 cities across Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul. Its high-technology equipment has enabled it to gain a regional audience participation of 75%.

A studio in Brasília transmits images directly to the News Departments, linking Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul to the Federal capital. VCA, a commercial and corporate video producer, is also part of the Zahran Group communications system.
